Q: Will the Race be cancelled if it rains on Race Day?
The Race takes place rain or shine. We do reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances and in that event, no refund will be given. Your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Race.

Q: Do I have to collect pledge money to participate in the Race?
While you are not required to collect pledge money to participate in the Race, we encourage everyone to raise as much as you can to increase our contribution to the fight against breast cancer. If every participant collected just $250 in pledges, we would raise more than $5 million!

Q: How do I form a team?

All pledge contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Q: Are children allowed to run/walk in the Race?
Children may participate in the Race as long as they are able to complete it under their own accord. Strollers, bikes, etc. are not permitted on the racecourse. Children must be registered as participants and their parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver on their behalf.

Q: Can I pick up my T-shirt on morning of the Race prior to running?
Yes, you can pick up your T-shirt and bib on Race day at Linn Park in downtown Birmingham starting at 7am at the Registration Tent. You may also pick your T-shirt and bib up at Brookwood Mall two weeks before the Race.

Q: How much of my registration fee goes to finding a cure for breast cancer?
Your registration fee is used to offset the cost of producing the Race, which is why pledging is so important. Please try to raise pledge dollars to help us eradicate this disease. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure is unique in that 75% of the net proceeds is dedicated to programs right here in North Central Alabama. The remaining 25% supports national breast cancer research to find a cure.

Q: Can I get my official Race time?
Yes, for an extra $5 charge to your Race registration, you can receive a timing chip. Top qualifying finishing times will be posted on the North Central Alabama Affiliate website. Those who do not wish to purchase a timing chip may check their own time as they cross the finish line.

Q: How can I pay tribute to someone special at the Race?
"In Memory Of" and "In Celebration Of" back signs will be available on Race Day and at the Registration Tent. Use as many of these as you like to honor those you love who have been affected by breast cancer.
